Sigma S30, a 1 eyed ginger Persian cat and a flashing dildo. Works well.

I just bought a CarVox alarm and 2 way pager off ebay, but keeping my standard immobiliser. It also has an immobiliser built in, and the pager is awesome.

I've just been quoted Fast Fit Nationwide - £81.60 to remove the standard Conlog Immobiliser that my car came with. (it's refusing to shut off at times). and I know it has an alarm system that doesn't work floating about somewhere in it too.

And then I've just been quoted £300 for a new alarm and immobiliser to be fitted - the details of it are below.... Is this too much?
Model 3198 - 2 to 1 Alarm Upgrade (Thatcham, insurance approved)
http://www.fastfitnationwide.co.uk/prod ... alarm_3198
  • - A mini modular remote control alarm and immobiliser that is insurance approved to Thatcham Category - 2-1 status. Offers protection to doors boot and bonnet. With ultrasonic protection for the vehicle interior and battery back-up siren. Also offers automatic door locking and anti-hijack facility.
    - Protection to doors, boot and bonnet
    - Ultrasonic sensors
    - Input for additional / optional sensors
    - Battery back-up siren
    - Panic facility - personal attack warning
    - Universal central door locking output
    - Vehicle immobilisation
    - Visual arm and disarm indication
    - Anti-hijack facility
    - Automatic door locking
    - Single push button type key pad override
    - Insurance approved
    - Upgrades Thatcham Cat 2 Immobiliser to a Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm / Immobiliser
Or can i get better deals/alarms else where?

For that price you could have the Toad Ai606 with one or two extras. As a tip, I would ask the installer to just leave the wire for total closure and boot realease loose for you. You can fit it yourself after then. ;)

Why? :) Come on details haha.

My dad had one fitted a few weeks ago - it seems all-right but just the beep when opening the car annoys me.

I'm not sure if they £400 total is too exspensive for an alarm or not :(

It needs to be local to Worcestershire, cause i can't afford to be without the car for more than a day.

Toad AI606 is an awesome alarm. Had it on a couple of cars.

You get one or two extra channels to play with as well. To save you money, get youself one of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140454587590? ... 1439.l2649 and one of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400203122709? ... 1439.l2649

If you install those yourself, you can save yourself an hour's labour from the installer. He will also probably charge you at least £15 for an actuator. ;)

Look in the How To for how to install an actuator.
