Wax

Post by JLB » Wed Mar 16, 2016 9:24 pm

What waxes is everyone using? I'm in need of some more and not sure what to go for.

I've had the autoglym hd wax and had good results with that. I believe the dodo juice has a good rep but don't know anyone who uses it.

I've got two silver cars if it makes any difference?

I've used Dodo Juice before with good results.

For a silver car you'll want to go for the Diamond White wax from them, smells lush

You can get small sample pots to try first, before spending a fortune on a big pot.

At last, a discussion where I can offer something. I'm a big Meguiar's fan, granted it's a bit pricey but it's really good stuff.
Start with this (bonus, smells fantastic)
Image
Using one of these (I have another for the wheels)

Then if there's swirls or water marks give it a once over with this

And for that once a month treat, I use this. Bloody expensive, blinding finish.

If you're feeling lazy but want to give it a quick once over, this does the trick.

Like I said, a tad pricey but well worth it. Their tyre shine stuff is brilliant too. Stays shiny for a couple of weeks.
Hope it's of use to you - happy polishing. :D

There's a FB group called Detailing Addicts. Whenever anyone asks which wax is best, every jumps up and shouts Fusso. It's like, no there are other waxes out there, and each wax has its own properties, so there is no "best" wax
