Before you try and figure it out (or your mechanic) the fuse for the main relay and the rest of the PGM-FI fuel injection system (inc fuel pump) is the number 4 fuse in the footwell fuse box. Pull this fuse to stop the engine pumping fuel into the cylinders during the test

The engine will still crank over with that use pulled out.

For 4th genners the PGM-FI fuse is in the engine bay fuse box, number 36 if I remember correctly (one of the long ones, 2nd from the left).
