Forgot to say I did the valve clearances and an oil change last weekend

Valves were all slack so the engine now sounds much better and that might have been the cause of my high MPG

Check the tyre pressures as well. Could be worth a couple of MPG.

over 30% increase in economy , maybe stick the short ram back on and try again to compare, my guess would be intake or exhaust, would be intresting to have a comparison, i have managed over 40mpg on my stock lude 8-)

A £75 tank gets me 200 miles in the Accord, it was circa 220 in the 4G Lude. This is with me driving like a rhubarb and short local journeys.

When i drove to NI, i was taking it easy, very little Vtec (filling up when i could for fear of the petrol shortage) and a £20 top up to fill the tank was showing circa 100 miles. So a full tank would have seen me well over 300 miles.

It is quite astounding how short journeys kill so much money, oh and a heavy right foot.
