Srs light

To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

Is there a how to or whatever on how to get rid or the srs light after fitting an aftermarket wheel?

Mine has the bulb taken out lol. You can put a resistor on the end of the airbag connector, so it still thinks the airbag is still connected.

It isn't an MOT issue having no bulb, not even an advisory.

I didn't want to pull the bulb tbh.
I just wanted to put the resistor in.
Just wanted to know what resistor I needed and how to wire it up

The hub I ordered didn't.
So now I've ordered another one with an SRS delete integrated

This is the resistor I ordered (after some research) for my Gen 4 Lude. Not used it yet, as I went back to OEM steering wheel.

TE Connectivity FRN50S Series Axial Thin Film Resistor 2.2Ω ±5% 0.5W ±350ppm/°C

Once you have the resistor in, you will still have to reset the SRS light using the standard procedure for this (just google it)

Well the new hub came. The resistor provided doesn't work. So that was a waste of extra cash as I've still gotta go buy a resistor

I assume you ordered a generic hub with srs delete resistor? If so, it's pretty much a shot in the dark on whether the resistor is the correct one for your car.

I have not used the resistors I listed, but I got them based off specs I found on another Prelude forum. This is the link to the article, which goes through the fitting of an aftermarket hub and wheel - http://www.preludepower.com/forums/show ... 441?page=1

Here is the SRS light reset procedure by the way - http://www.preludepower.com/forums/show ... p?t=255215
