Help with exhaust system please!!!

Post by Mosid » Wed Jun 29, 2016 3:39 pm

Just an update guys.
I've now replaced my stock exhaust manifold with one from Accord type r. Mongoose SS down pipe off Accord type r, 2 cell sprts CAT and complete custom SS from there on.

I bought an Accord type r intake manifold thinking it would a straight bolt on  but research as revealed to me that it's a bit more.
Does any one know of a garage that can competently do this modification as I'm not really a car guy so can't do the work my self. Any info would be really appreciated.

Thank you for the info, I've not heard of them but I will check them out. Have ever used them, what sort of reputation do they have?

i have used them twice once to fit my manifold as it needed a bit welding on to fit the catback and the second time to fit a back box that needed the piping making up to the mid pipe really good lads really neat welds and they dont just talk the talk the guys run modded cars

To be honest the ATR manifolds are OK, but not what I'd call a performance item. The headers are twin-walled so the primaries are nothing like the bore they appear to be...

Same can be said about the mongoose downpipe tbh

Decent gains are only going to come from a quality (expensive) system & header combined with mapping to extract the most from it...
