Rear Big Brake Kit for Prelude 4th/5th gen

Post by cebul » Mon Jul 04, 2016 11:20 pm

Custom made Big Brake Kit for Prelude 4th and 5th gen.

That kit base on stock caliper but bigger disc (290mm).

Mainly recomended for people, who put bigger brakes on front and want to balance rear, or for people who doing trackdays/quick road runs as this improve braking.

Kit including:

2x 290mm brand new disc pre-drilled for 4&5 x114 stud pattern.

2x calipers brackets

2x 1mm spacers- they are fabricated for 4x114, so if somebody want them for 5th gen, other stud pattern need to be drilled (piece a cake).

Pług & play kit

From top.of my memory discs are from Toyota but can not remember a model. Centre bore fit perfectly for Prelude hub.

IMO you need the info on what the disc is so that they can be replaced. I would waste these within a year so need to be able to replace them ;)

Well, they would not go that quick as the front one for shure and should cover about about 30k of miles, also these discs are not coming with dual stud pattern as they have been machined to fit to the Prelude.

But I will try to find out what car they are coming from, from the guy who made that kit.

I prefer to sell whole lot as the adaptor been machined to.mach that thing spacer as the spacer going between hub and discs to centralised disc against caliper.

Each part been matched to each one, so that will work only when whole kit will be fitted.

Discs are for 2009 toyota avensis. Center bore doesnt fit perfectly but this is nothing that dremel couldn't make to fit. Discs are 5x114 but holes itself are way to big for prelude so this is the reason why they are drilled. I know as I'm using this kit, and just had to change discs. Nothing major-just excessive corrosion. I can only recommend this kit as other then rust I had totally no issue with it. Also it makes a bit of upgrade for handbrake which now is stronger then it was and this is IMHO good enough reason to use it.

And yes I'm running 5studs conversion so forget that it have to be drilled for 4 studs for 4gen
