Post by lude98 » Thu Sep 08, 2016 1:00 pm

Hi

What is the difference between this two downpipes?

18210-S30-931 ( 97-98, manual transmission)

18210-S30-941 (97-00, automatic transmission)

FYI:
Chassis: BB8 2.2 VTi VTEC 4WS manual transmission
Engine: H22A5

The auto has a longer down pipe to get past the auto box.

Hi Merlin

Thank you for the answer!!

Is there any other OEM downpipe that can replace 18210-S30-931?

Yes the UK 4th generation downpipe should fit. Their part numbers are very similar.

The brackets are different on the 4th gen downpipe. I've got one on mine, I had to improvise to secure the pipe.

Now you're asking. I got it from Amazon. £20 and it's stainless.

@lude98 bear in mind though, that for a correct fit, you need to have all the correct parts. Mine is a Frankenstein set up and I had to add extra brackets and straps to make everything fit. If you fancy a challenge though you can make it fit, but it won't be a direct fit.

Hi Stinky

Your Frankenstein set up smells very bad. Jajajajaja :D

Thanks for your feedback. Maybe one of the US Prelude models fits better? Type SH or Base.
