This is probably a silly question, but besides the branded name, is there a decent manifold that can be had off ebay?
I don't want to get one that just makes more sound, id like it to shed a few ponies as well.
This will be the last engine modification I do before I start on the rear arches.
Cheers

So in that case its better to wait until I get the single runner manifold and to everything together?
Im getting an SS exhaust put on soon and the car also has a AEM. I am assuming no tuning needs to be done for those type of bolt ons?

You can bolt on anything you like but the 5th gen ECU will try its hardest to make it run like an OEM setup. In regards to the exhaust manifold I would probably go for a Hytech Tri-y replica, cheap and easy to get hold of, and get it installed in an exhaust shop as they will need to make an extension pipe for it to fit. Mind you the standard diameter of the H22a8 exhaust is only 2", so you might want to go for an aftermarket exhaust.Free Ranj Egg wrote:So in that case its better to wait until I get the single runner manifold and to everything together?

@merlin - I have brought a skunk 2 megapower exhaust from Ryn86 off the forum.
This year I am to fit that along with a set of lowering springs and M2B4 gearbox I have recently acquired.
I was asking about the manifold as the ones on ebay seem reasonably cheap but if its not making any power id rather spend the money elsewhere on the car where I can actually see a benefit.
Thanks for your advice though mate, you seem to have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to ludes.
