H22 Starting noise when cold

Post by lewie fraser » Mon Nov 07, 2016 3:17 pm

Ever since I bought the car it's been making a horrible noise in the mornings when it's cold and trying to start.it always starts but it take a few seconds before it does and it's noisy.

It did get a reconditioned starter motor the day before I bought it.maybe it needs a new one instead? What do you think? As I would like it sorted out.i hope this video works that I have added so you can hear it.

Does it not take you into my photo bucket page?

Yeah it's a bit of a pain.

Does sound like starter motor - mine made the same noise ( i hadnt tightened up the bolt that held the earth strap)

its practically impossible to fit it incorrectly :)
you can check the connections very easily - one to the solenoid is just a small push on male connector and the earth strap is underneath but you should be able to see it from the top ;)
