I refitted the original throttle body today and bled the coolant and all seems to be ok although it did surge a couple of times on the drive home but it did then settle pretty quickly.
Will see how it starts up tomorrow from cold.
I might try dropping the idle speed a bit as its sitting at around 1000rpm.This is where i set it a month or so ago so going to lower it back to around 750-850rpm.
Next up is to look at the vaccum system again & test fuel pressure regulator & check valve
Its so close to being perfect i can smell it
@arif_manji if your lude is starting up with a quick spray of holts cold start then there is nothing major wrong with the car. Id start by cleaning the iac valve and making sure the gasket is ok and it sealing when bolted down and then id test the fitv as shown in the post above. Also get a can of carb cleaner and clean out the intake mani. See how that goes.
