Use Forte engine flush - exactly as directed on the bottle - it's the best in the business.

This done, put clean 5W40 full synthetic oil in it, and it should be good to go.

The blackness in oil is burned hydrocarbons, basically when the oil breaks down and stops lubing it 'cracks' (as they say in organic chemistry) and burns. If you oil goes black quickly in a petrol engine it's because you're using poor oil, and or running the car hard (lots of short journeys, or fast long ones). Give it a flush and use full synthetic oil and it will protect better and not go black so fast. I do this with my Lude and it's still dark golden after 5,000 miles.
