Yes! I have seen this happen to my brothers Rover 45 (aka Civic MB6) and it was patched for much cheapness. Just shop around for a welder :)

Do you have a trolley jack? Or are you stuck with the Honda jack from the boot?

Stuck with the honda jack since my hydraulic one started bleeding oil everywhere!

you can jack the car up via the rear tow hitch mate. you might need to put the jack on something if your at stock ride height but its fine there imo. at least you can change the wheel ;)
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.
