wohoo!!!! great news matey :D :D well done on the good work 8-)

with regards to the 4ws, you should be able to notice if they move, literally just move the steering wheel from outside the car when it's ticking over and watch the back wheels

Is the 4WS light on?

The ABS fault could be confusing things. If the speed sensor isn't working, the 4WS won't know which way to turn, so holds the rack in the middle.

to be honest i cant say i noticed if the 4ws light even came on as i started the car threw the open window as i wanted to hear how the engine ran on first start up , so will have to check that tomorrow when i am at work , the abs light only came on after i drove it and i do no that both outer cv boots are knackered and have covered everything in grease so hoping a clean up will sort abs light

right after looking a bit deeper into the 4ws fault it seems the main fuse has been removed so i am thinking there is going to be some issues to solve with that now , i didnt have a correct fuse to put in so will get one and fit it and see what happens , so anyone with 4ws spares watch this space think i am going to be needing some

Could be a simple one, often is. Some cheeky sod has probably removed the 4WS fuse so that the light doesn't come on, not cool, not to mention misleading and dangerous actually.
Get the fuse in and see what's what, pull any codes if the light comes on and post them up.
Most of the time it's something simple like a wheel sensor / spilt gaiter chucking grease over it, or if it's the 4WS itself, at worst it's often a dry solder in the ECU, which is a simple fix. :)

Someone had removed the fuse from mine when I bought it, 10mins spent resoldering the ECU and its been fault less for the last 12 years!

quick update replaced the missing fuse and checked the others listed for the 4ws and still no light coming on all wires seem to be on the ecu , so me thinking the ecu must be dead as there is nothing happening looks like i need to remove this and have it apart as a first step :?
