Wanted: 4th gen
I've got the prelude itch again; mine is beyond repair (well it would be very expensive) so I'm on the look out for a new one.
Looking for a nice clean BB4 ideally, don't mind if there's a bit of rust to fix on the rear arches as that's almost inevitable.
Is there anything out there?

Rusty sills, arches, sunroof and A pillars. Been rotting from the inside out as it's been repaired shoddily in the past - basically bondo over rust to hide it instead of cutting it out and welding in new metal.
It has other smaller issues - needs new timing belt, water pump etc, mani, brakes all round, and loads more... All in all there's too much to do, I could spend a bit and get it fixed but that rust is just gonna come back with a vengeance and it'll have all been for nothing; will be cheaper and easier for me to find another and swap the good bits over.

I have a very good 1996 2.2 VTEC manual 4WS up for sale soon – it's just had new timing belt, water pump, valve clearances done, synth engine and gearbox oil, tyres, etc. Body very good with only sunroof letting it down. Dark blue metallic, drives superb, interior as new. 90,000 miles but feels one tenth of that!
Not going to give it away – what's your budget range?

My budget depends on what's on offer, if it's gonna cost me loads to fix then I have less to spend on the car itself. I'm not made of money though so not looking for a £5000 minter or owt like that.
Spec-wise, I'm not too fussed... as long as it's a manual 4G, h22, preferably JDM. Ideally I'd like the basic BB4 without sunroof, cruise control, abs, 4ws as there's less to go wrong - but it won't be a track car so not bothered either way.
With regards to rust, I'd like there to be none ideally, but that's not gonna happen. If it's on the rear arches and can be replaced fully by those replacement panels you can get imported then that's OK. I just don't want to be replacing sills and a pillars and everything else otherwise I may as well just fix the one I have here. Sunroof rust is OK, I can do the moon roof conversion.
I'd also like it to have a current MOT so I can drive it home as I can't really be arsed with arranging to get it trailered etc. but if it's cheap enough I may consider that.
