Fuel line leak update
Hello Gents,
Hope everyone is well. So me and a mate jacked the lude up yesterday and took the cover off for the fuel lines and had a look.
The rubber line is fine its the steel line it attaches to that has completely rusted and is shagged.
The other line that runs next to it is also rusted. So it makes sense to replace both.
My question however is this...
1.) If we replace the entire line or cut out the shagged parts and replace it with a stainless steel braided rubber line, how will it hold together? Will jubilee clips work?
2.) Or is it just better to see if someone here is breaking a car and get the used lines which will basically stop all the faffing around.
Any help is appreciated gents.

I've had the same issue and used rubber fuel hose and hose clips. I had to cut some of the plastic covering off the metal lines to find rust free metal ( I had to lower the pipe by removing some of the clips that hold the pipe in place in order to cut the pipe ). On the rubber line the plastic release clips wouldn't release so I cut the fittings off the rubber lines aswell ( I think these are metal lined ) The fuel hose fits over both metal and rubber lines.

vitjon - Thanks bud. I can get 5 metres of lines for £60 odd quid.
The pipes are metal and are rusted. So when you cut the pipes what did you use to put them back together? As in what type of clips were they?
I have some pictures of the pipes and will post them tonight when I get a chance. Apparently photobucket isn't used any more so whats the best way to up load the pics?
