Flashing D4 Auto Light
Lo All
Took Lude to My local garage today and the mechanic pulled two codes 23 and 16.
He was a bit confused as He expected to see the engine check/error light to come on but it didn't , is this normal
He wanted to be sure these codes are the same codes you would get via OBD if the engine check/error light was on
I'm guessing they must be
23 knock sensor
16 fuel injector although one website says it is linear solenoid
Is is true that error codes stay forever unless a reset is done
Cheers all for Your feedback

Flashing D4 Auto Light
LO
Just been looking through the PDF manual I have on My PC and in the auto trans section code 16 and 23 mean something different
16 concerns A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A connector
23 concerns A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve B connector
Very confusing
As I said before if I start the car and the D4 light doesn't flash it drives fine.
Cheers all

I'm going to take it back to My mechanic tomorow and let Him know My findings.
Both solenoids are in one unit with two electrical connectors.
It has 3 small rubber seals and a gasket that can be bought separately.
Honda cost for new unit is more than £500

Hi All
My mechanic didn't tell Me at the time but He had removed both connectors off the solenoids and cleaned up the contacts.
Since then I have started and driven the car 7 times and no flashing D4 light so fingers crossed that's all it was
If it crops up again I will get it tested and cleaned up and replace the o rings and fit a new gasket.
Cheers for the replies peops

Lo All
Took Lude to garage today to have solenoids tested just to be on the safe side.
All OK had resistance checked and operation of both solenoids also removed unit and checked if clean all great
Had error codes cleared too
That's a big possible bill avoided
Cheers

Lo All
Had ABS light come on once and the bloomin D4 light flashing in the last couple of days
Really confusing
I will have to get error codes again to see if it's the same one's again.
Anyone got any other ideas
Maybe some other electrical issue
Cheers all
