2.2 vtec 4th Gen JDM OEM Downpipe

Looking to see if anyone has a 4th gen vtec jdm oem downpipe for sale

Most will have changed to aftermarket so hoping someone has one at the back of the garage that they dont want

not sure if ukdm downpipe is same as jdm one - maybe someone can confirm?

Hi @vanzep,

I believe there is a difference, one is shorter and one is longer - can't remember which away around. I discovered this when I was doing H22 conversion from a mix off UKDM and JDM parts.

Shouldn't be any difference other than you need to elongate the holes at either the downpipe or cat as there slightly off. @wurlycorner knows exactly what is involved as he's been there and done it. It is in one of his many posts if your good with the search function.

The big differences are in the cat and b-pipe, jdm cat shorter with a longer b-pipe.

Yep, that one on the left hand side is oem.

The manifolds are the same on jdm and ukdm vtecs, so the downpipe is the same length at the front (height, in that pic) so the 2 you have there are really confusing - I can't think what's going on!

The only difference between ukdm/jdm is the flange that bolts to the cat is slightly different.

The cat is then a different length (shorter on jdm) which means the mid-section of the exhaust is a different length (longer on jdm).

Your car is a JDM 4g with an H22a engine, right?

Thanks arif - yeah im sure jdm cat is shorter than ukdm cat but cant remember if there was a difference in the length of the downpipe - but i do remember there is a difference in placement of bolts holes where downpipe meets cat but thats if your using a jdm cat with ukdm downpipe i think

Drax that would be great if you could have a look and see if you can find it

Just in a bit of a panic with the mot for the BB1 on thursday - not sure it will be acceptable that ive fitted a plm tri-y and decatted it - im trying to get the old custom downpipe with cat welded up but that looks a bit iffy so need a third option - hence the need for jdm downpipe. i have the oem mani and jdm cat ready to go....used to have a jdm downpipe but sold it to arif as he needed it

thats answers the question about downpipes so jdm one would be best option for me

but ukdm one could be used with a little modification of the bolt holes
lets hope drax has one!
