Fujitsubo mani

Post by V101_ATA » Tue May 08, 2012 11:38 pm

Hi guys,

one of the studs at the join for the 4-2 section has snapped :( (in line with the tradition of everytime I work on the car!)

it seems like the studs are welded in or will I be able to hammer it out?

Here's a pic stolen from MadMaxx's megathread:

Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated.

I think they're pressed in. Hammer might do it, else grind it off, drill a hole, use another bolt 8-)

They aren't welded in and just screw out so you could drill it out easily :) don't panic dude! Lol

Yea it wound out, thanks for that bristol_bb4. Couldn't get 2 nuts on it though so had to take the mani out and stick it in a vice and wound the stud out using a huge monkey wrench and a blowtorch which was quite fun. :D I've replaced the stud with just a bolt that i've cut down to size, should be alright ;)
