At the moment I'm running on a P28 with a moates demon RTP and NeptuneRTP, I would like to have a spare P13 ECU and I agree that it's probably best to source a JDM P13 as that would fit the engine better than an EDM P13.

So you are happy with map on your Neptune, but want to have a spare ECU for backup? Ideally you would like to have the same map on backup ECU?
That's interesting to know! Cool how you guys solved thatBrozilla wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 5:14 pmSo you are happy with map on your Neptune, but want to have a spare ECU for backup? Ideally you would like to have the same map on backup ECU?
If so, you can have your map converted to .bin format and burn it on chip for a fee of 10-15 USD (not sure of pricing these days). This is completely legit and goes through HRTuning (Neptune creator) employee in Hungary. I had this done lots of times as most of my friends get their cars tuned on my Neptune and then pay for the conversion to have the map permanently in their cars.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to check it outvanzep wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2020 10:13 amWilliam - i saw this mislisted ecu on ebay - its a jdm p13 prelude ecu at a very low price imo. sure its a 4ws with tcs one so quite rare - was tempted to grab this a spare for my BB1......

Thanks for the info! I'm trying to make a dealvanzep wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 8:45 amFairly sure it will work ok - the tcs ecu has 4 connectors from the loom - your loom will only have 3 connectors on the loom so the 4th one (tcs) will simply be without a connector and unconnected and should not throw a code - if it was the other way round it would prob throw a code.
That's interesting, the vss signal from the cluster (both EL and "normal" gauges) is if I remember correctly directly connected to the sensor (also connected to ecu). We'll see how it goesVtecmec wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:22 amI've run a 4 plug ecu in a 3 plug car, it will store a silent code, TCS system missing, which does not illuminate the EML, and is only apparent when you search for error codes, so no real problem there.
I have heard that others have speedo issues, though I did not have any, note than mine is an ex-auto pre facelift car with bespoke dash wiring to fit post facelift manual clocks though.
