F20a alternator

So finally got round to pulling the 5th gen from the yard to the house, half way home the ducking alternator packed up. Luckily didnt have to go too far.

So anyone have an alternator for 5th gen f20 lying about not doing much?

Would a 2.2 alternator fit?

2.2 would fit, I have only one as a spare, not for sale unfortunately.

You can just replace the regulator, they're only about £25 delivered on ebay.

I know this isn't specific to your problem but I just fitted a Rover 600 Alternator to my 3g if you can compare your existing alternator to others online you might find it cheaper elsewhere but listed for another car. Plus the reconditioned unit only cost £36.

Score mate, done that before ill give it a bash
