h22A2 manifold on my UK2.2?... & MOT fail Progress

Post by wchestnutt » Sat May 12, 2012 10:30 am

Hello all,

OK the lude is having teh skirts off this week to see how far the rust has gone on teh sills (fingers crossed!!), she also failed the MOT this week on a blowing down pipe.

So my question is, is it remotely worth getting one of these stainless pipes if they will fit (the rest of the exhaust is stainless already)... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-PRELUDE ... 1c26e1a1c6

Mainly just because I can get it for £50, where as an OEM mild steel one will cost me £120, and a second hand one will cost me £40 but will inevitably go bad at some point. Also would a stainless amnifold and pipe sound any different??...

All the best!

William

Yeah that item will sort the blowing downpipe BUT you'd have to check if it's the same for the 4th and 5th gens, that item is for a 4th gen. But don't expect any power gains! The OEM heatshield won't fit either, so I'd suggest getting the manifold heatwrapped first.
