Upper or Lower?

Post by grant_day » Tue May 15, 2012 8:43 am

This may have come up before but which is better?
Upper or lower strut braces, I currently have a front upper, but nothing at the rear.
Opinions please :)
Thanks all

I'd stick with upper for a daily driver. Seem a few pictures of what happens to lower braces if they get snagged on something :?

go for both rears and the back will feel more part of the car when you turn in. The lower front, as IL says will get caught on speed lumps etc. the rears seem ok. i have a custom upper and an ebay lower. both ebay jobs will do you a grand job for the cash...

the rear lower doesnt drop below the subframe so wont cause a problem the front lower drops below the subframe and isnt a good design really

What so rear lowers work? I though they were just for bling.

the holes needed taking out a little but it was ok.

the lower is not going to do that much but performance modification is so rarely a huge gain. any gain is a gain

I think the rear lowers make much more of a difference when you have OEM bushes, I dont think the difference is as noticable when you have polybushes.
