I was quoted £1,500 for a car already stripped and prepped by myself. This was for a top job by the same chap who did ho10dr's (sp?) beautiful blue 4th.

I will be keeping this car for a very long time.

so the figures you have been quoting me are what i had in mind.

My Car, in my eyes is worth every penny, and if the times comes i decide i want another car, i will garage/store this one. I have some big plans for it in the long run.

The other reason i asked was because my arches are rusting and i'm going to get them done. I was quotes £400 for them both to be cut out and rebuilt, which i thought was good? The rust is quite back and in a few weeks i will go back to the guy to give it a check over for any further rust that i havent spotted and for quotes.

I may shop around though, the guy whos doing it goes to my gym, does quite a good job on other cars... but i don;t know him well enough for him to give it me for a cut price.

remove the skirts and check the sills, if arches are rusted then its a near forgon conclusion your sils will be too. but they are repairable quite easly.
