Need an ID on these coilovers?

Post by PRELUDED » Fri May 18, 2012 4:36 pm

Hi there, i am looking to buy some coilovers and have been offered these, we cant really work out the branding, but what do you guys think?

And how much would you offer for them? There is no leaks and they are fully adjustable apparently.

Those look a lot like stock prelude shocks with a cheapy ebay coilover kit tbh man.

Best advice if that is what they are, is to avoid them. They are not nice at all, and have been described by some people as downright dangerous.

Ahhhh they do look strangley like the ebay ones you mentioned, i thought the struts looked fairly similar to the prelude struts, should i avoid then? I want coilovers but i dont want bad ones, but i cant afford £600 odd as of yet :(

You'll get better ride, handling and safety on your stock shocks man. If anything, grab a decent set of lowering springs for now. Only set you back around £100, and be a lot better.

Don't waste your money on those, if your strapped for cash a set of lowering springs on OEM shocks would be a better bet

Or wait till a bargain comes up on ebay

But avoid those nasty ebay coilovers at all costs, it will make your car handle like crap

As above, steer well clear from the cheapo ones, my girlfriend had some on her crx, as soon as a saw them I took them straight off, and fitted lowering springs for her, they are honestly downright dangerous. Save up and buy the good stuff ;)
