ooops yep sold the clutch to merc, he may still have it :D the real mad part was 1 it was in the sale thread for ages, 2 if we hadnt encuraged him to try vtec in reverse his box would still be ok.
i never got around to using the manual box as another idea came to me for my auto :D
i still have all of it exept clutch and flywheel :? and its blocking up my shed  although i am using the jdm preludeb high level brake light and the sunroof is primed ready for painting so the journey wasnt for nothing, plus i got to see the pickup first  and cups of tea, and i also met a great guy too - what more can you ask for  8-)

you could try 4g phil, he was looking for an auto box awhile back to play around with, you dont need the whole box :D if you can find a clutch and flywheel i could let you have the rest at a special price :D

phil is having my old box to play with when i get a new 1 and bri has offered me his old box for free but it has issues, maybe i could make one good one out of the two. the play in my box is real bad and i think i may have damaged the diff casing. if i bothered to convert it to manual i'd want to put an lsd box in and my yet to be built turbo lump at the same time

just bought a manual box and all the goodies needed to convert the pickup from auto to manual.
its a m2b4 so got the lsd in it so i might aswell crack on and get it back on the road for the summer. hated having to take it to japfest on a trailer so hopefully get it fitted next week :D

Looks awesome, and obviously a lot of hours have been put in! You'll love the lsd box, made the world of difference on mine when I put one in. Have you tried driving the pickup in a freaking insane manner yet, what's the weight distribution like?

drove it in a "freaking insane manner" on quite a few occasions weight distribution i dont think is any different to the stripped out bag o bum droppings as i now have a big heavy roll bar where the big heavy rear window used to be, the suspension is off the bag o bum droppings so same set up and same very harsh ride.

hope the temptation to do an autotest in it subsides when this box is in coz i dont really want it to end up like the bag o bum droppings :sega: :vtec:

I didn't notice the LSD too much on the road, small characteristic changes but when on track cornering became so much better in regards to grip. I did mix the LSD with r888's though as well and the speed you could carry around corners with the combination was brilliant!

Yeah suppose the weight of the metal in the back has made up for lost metal and glass!

You're not far out of Caerphilly are you?

I live in Cardiff, only couple mins from the bottom of Caerphilly mountain!
