I watched the torch this afternoon in St Austell Cornwall. Pretty awesome really. Still won't be watching the games though.

Oh they do pass the flame and keep hold of the torch. I'll post a pic tomorrow if I remember.

Does anyone else have that sinking feeling you get before something horrendously embarrasing happens to you? I feel this for the nation as a whole. We are going to drokk this up right royally, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop :lol:

I wonder how much it costs to make an Olympic Torch? I suppose we as a nation put in an order for 8000 of them from China.

the torch is coming through my small town (Monmouth) on the Friday 25Th.. 8-) meant to be 18,000 people coming to watch.. not sure how they got that figure :!:

Someone will have stood in the town and asked a load of people the qeustion, worked out what percentage of people said yes and take that percentage of your town's population.

Same way they work out radio and tv viewing figures. Very approximate way of doing things!
