PSP making weird noise after being moved to get to the ALT

Put the cap back on and turn the wheels from side to side a bit this should get the air out. I changed the power steering fluid on mine and it made a hell of a racket with the cap off (to try and bleed any air out). Put the cap back on and turned the wheels from side to side a few times and it was back to normal.

I was about to say this :troll:

Just make sure there's enough fluid in there, then with the engine running turn the steering from lock to lock a few times.

its not so im changing it out for the spare. see what that does....

changed out the pump. still doing it. called oracle and they said just keep turning the wheel and topping up. it will eventually sort itself out.


:roll: friday evenings vtec is being severly curtailed :evil:

sorted. rev the tits of it for 5 mins while going lock to lock :lol:

known good pump and alternator fitted and working well.

After being a bit scared its really just a case of how much skin and blood your willing to loose the first time you try something.

Plenty on this trip but I learned a bit as well. :D happy to change out those two bits now.. shouted quite a bit but there are only cows to hear me :lol:

+ rep'ed cos I knew sod all about cars before i got my lude, now i can take them apart and rebuild them, it's just having the right attitude and having a cracking car club really helps

Next i wanna rebuild an engine, I don't need to, I just wanna learn :D (and happen to have a spare h22 in the garage)
