I've been looking recently, and a friend who knows his canons said to avoid anything over 150k!

You can get a 2nd hand kit lenses for about 40 quid

Lens I use the most is a 50mm prime and they are 90 quid brand new

Like I said if I didn't need to replace my telephoto lens I'd prob take this, raw in burst on the 1000d sucks so much I don't use it

TBH if i replace my 1000D I wanna go for something that does HD video, really miss video editing as i've had nothing for years that has been capable of recording anything worth editing

Fair enough. I've not video'd with a DSLR but the fact that you can only manual focus sucks a bit, unless you go for the Sony I guess?
