Rear Anti-roll Bar Needed ASAP
Andyjess666, that's brilliant news and like you say, one of the gurus here might know for certain. I spoke to the guy in Oldham who has the ad up for the 5th gen roll bar and he was honest enough to say he didn't know. I'll keep my fingers crossed that one of the guys sees this in the next couple of days and can come to the rescue. Thanks again for all your help.

Merlin, thank you, Merlin. I'm so grateful for your confirmation and all round guru-ness.
Should I go for the second hand one on ebay

...or do you think the swanky Ultra Racing one is a better option?

The 5th gen rear arb on ebay looks to be in fair useable condition. - quite rare to see a rear arb up for sale.
Prone to rust where the bushes hold the bar - fussy folk like me would paint or powdercoat it before fitting.
Ultra Racing is the way to go if funds permit but on balance I would prob get the one of ebay and clean it up.
Blueprint for d bushes and drop links. Bushes approx £8-£10 each drop links approx £20 each. - just info for you if you want to renew these parts.

vanzep, thanks so much. I agree that if I get the used one I can give a bit of the simonc spit and polish.
Taking your advice, I will also get the new drop links and bushes for maximum peace of mind.
I've been speaking with the guys who are selling it and now I've got absolute/absolute confirmation, I'm going to pop over there tomorrow as Oldham isn't a million miles from Halifax.
Many, many thanks to you all for your generous help, I really do appreciate it.

Good luck with the repair
drop links x 2 pcs Blueprint part no. ADH28571
roll bar d bushes x 2pcs Blueprint part no. ADH28080
nice cheap parts, readily available and to oem spec
garage will prob just want to fit whats on the roll bar your getting so you may want to get the drop links and bushes yourself and make sure they swap the old ones out and fit the new.
Brackets on the 2nd hand one your getting look ok - these tend to go rusty so might be worth looking at cleaning up the brackets you get and having them swapped over at same time.
Now you can see why i dont always get on with garages and prefer doing the work myself however painful that may be

Just back from Oldham having picked up the anti roll bar. Excellent service from the guys at SJ Motor Services and had a good look round their warehouse packed with a treasure trove of Honda goodies. The bat itself looks in super condition and am looking forward to giving it a good refurb before it's fitted.

im pretty sure 4g and 5g can fit both, you only need to get a 4ws or non 4ws one.
