If you keep a bit of pressure on the forward edge door with your knee while you undo the bolts you can just grab the window frame and lift the handle and the whole lot comes away clean. Saves messing around with wobbly jacks and stuff.

Refit it the opposite way. Lay a blanket across the sill in case the door drops a bit and just push the door onto the latch hold it in place and get some bolts in. :)

And Ammo is right - they are stupidly heavy.
You sir are my painting pleasure dome. Will do that.

Heavy and the tumblehome makes them awkward.

Removing the wings is a good call as i can spray them off the car too wiith the door. Plus my door cards are5kg heavier than stock with the amount of deadening, filler and milkshake on them.
Right one last thing.
How do i remove the rubber/plastic weather strip on the door below the window next to the wing mirrors.
Would make it easier to get a good key behind those strips.

remove mirror, put window all the way down, pull weatherstrip towards you from outside the door(not so much up but like twisting it towards yourself) this should preserve the clips ;)

I managed to get all mine out intact but it was a time consumer.

If you can be bothered then take the door card off but leave the window switch connected for a minute.

Drop the window until both bolts at the bottom of the window glass line up with the holes in the inner door skin. Take the door card away. Undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the window to the lifter mech. Lift the window out of the door (straight up then at a slight angle)

You can now see the clips clearly. from the inside of the door get a big flat screwdriver and prise each one up and out using the inner door skin top lip as a resting point. Cloths are good here!

All popped out without breaking on 4 doors

:)
