1993 Satin black BB4

Post by lxstuart » Thu May 31, 2012 9:30 pm

Well I've decided to sell this, partly because I don't think I'll ever get around to finishing it, and partly because I want the space back.

Its a 1993 BB4 H22A manual gearbox (M2A4) painted in satin black by the previous owner.
Currently taxed until the end of the month, and no MoT. Mileage is showing 195k, though I have no idea if this is accurate, as the clocks look like they are from an automatic. The engine is also not the original (or at least not the one listed on the V5.

Before I bought it, it was stripped out for track use. As such there is pretty much no interior, just the 2 front seats, 2 doorcards, and most of the dash. Steering wheel has been swaped for an integra one, though this has seen better days. The car is lowered on some form of mugen suspention, doesn't look like a coilover to me, so possibly matched spring and dampers. The exhaust mani (stock, I believe) has been heat wrapped, and the rest is a straight through system (not aware of any brand names).
Alloys are nice, but I have no idea what brand they are, centre caps just say "racing".

Whilst in my care, somebody has driven into it, pushing the car into my garage door and fudging a few body panels. The front bumper is now a little bent and missing a noticeable amount of paint. The bonnet now has a little bit more curve to it, possibly a little bit of white paint from the garage door iirc. Both front wings I think were fine. Rear bumper hase some scuffage and doesn't sit straight. O/S rear panel next to the rear light is bent, paint has cracked and surface rust can be seen.

Now for the big bad point, the MoT fail sheet(s).

032 coolant leak

So not that bad ;)

Point 032 is now sorted

Good points?

The engine runs well without any bumps or rattles.
Lets just skip to the pictures

The car is located just outside St Albans in Hertfordshire. Its currently garaged, but viewing can be arranged.

I think £400 is a reasonable asking price, given that I could quite easily make that from breaking/scraping it.
Feel free to make offers, it can't hurt.
Attractive girlfriends could be the start of a mutually agreeable "arangement"

its the part where the engine fumes exit from, thus why it is called "an exhuast"  And to be perfectly clear its the round metal pipe on the back of the car at the bottom this is called "an exhaust pipe" hope this has cleared that up for you ;)

The MOT list isnt that bad IMO. Anyone wanting a track Lude would have to clean up most of those items on any car before tracking it.

I want it as a road car but just cang justify the spend at the moment, I don't mind a small payment but with cost of trailing etc I'm hoping Luke will have a charitable heart lol

i was going to buy this when it was up for sale about a year or so ago, keep it as a track only weapon and use the other lude as road only - id say it got the capability for being done up really nicely and used in the VTEC challenge :D pity i dont live near many Lude Gener's otherwise id say club together and get it sorted.
