5th gen vti clutch problem

so my 5th gen 97 2.2 vtec lude wont go into gear when the engine is running, however if i turn the engine off, put clutch pedal to the floor and put it in gear and then try to start the car, she wants to drive even witht he pedal to the floot.... any ideas?? cheers

Either master or slave cylinder most likely.

If you can bleed it, it might just get you to the garage.

Any sign of a leak?

no my lude is at the garage, my own garage/unit. i fitted new clutch and it still wont play ball, im gonna double check that i have put everything back how it shud be before i check other things
