5th Gen Bonnet Trim

Post by toadster » Mon Jun 18, 2012 4:41 pm

LO All 5th Genners :D

Just wondering how many 5th Gen owners still have the plastic trim attached at the front edge of their bonnets :?:

Mine doesn't seem to sit straight at each end so i'm thinking of removing it.

Cheers ;)

You mean the seal on the headlight part of the bonnet?

Think he's referring to the strip along the very front edge of the bonnet. I still have mine. I know USDM Ludes don't have it.

Never seen that before.
Why?
Because mine doesn't have it.
Seems like a rust catcher.

Mine still has it on, I think its just secured with clips underneath. It doesn't do anything, so I'd remove it of its not on straight.

LO All

TA for your replies

The trim just drops slightly at both ends as you can see on this pic , it's going a bit grey too , so i may remove and clean it up underneath.
I think it will look better.

My trim doesn't pertrude out like that. You can't see my trim until you lift the bonnet.

LO Rob

YEP i think there is a rubber seal plus this trim that has 5 clips holding it on that is made to fit around the bottom edge of the bonnet.
So i quess yours just has the rubber seal :?: maybe :?

Cheers ;)
