You may wake up in the morning and find me there on the Saturday at dawn  I have no idea what my plans on the Friday night are, but I'm pretty sure I'll be leaving in the early hours on Saturday to avoid any and all traffic

This sounds like it's gonna be quality. Wish I could be there but unfortunately it coincides with my anniversary week & I'm taking the missus away to the Lake District. Hope you all have a great time & this is a success so I can perhaps make it to the next one.

Rich enjoy the lke district! Word of warning, don't take the mountain pass it is not built for ludes! I lost count of how many times the car bottomed out, probably over 30 in 12 miles :o

Back on topic, I have a couple spare tents if anyone needs to borrow; 1 x 2man, 1 x 4man & 1 x 6man

If anyone needs to borrow let me know ;)

just been speaking to my meat man and he can also provide bread rolls and finger rolls in boxes of 48 and he can get cheese too. All at low prices so if people can contribute to the cost i dont mind getting it all. He May be able to provide ketchup and mayo too.

ok, This is my view re meat and BBQ stuff.

If everyone goes into the closest supermarket to them and spends £8-10 on decent quality meat and nibbles we will have MORE than enough. We will also have a wide selection of meats, breads, sauces and salady bits. Many differing flavours and taste's. Hopefully no cheap meat, 24 pack white bread fingers or stock frozen burgers :?

Getting loads of the same product, while cheaper, is not flavoursome. its not the way to a good BBQ. Sausages and burgers are ok as a base but real meat is a much better option. We also need cous cous, colslaw, mixed salads etc etc. This is just as important, if not more so, than mountains of the same meat.

Honda-hardy, repect for your contribution. Believe me there will be no shortage of food. This is just one meal though. 5kg blocks of cheese and 48 finger baps are not what I had in mind to be honest :?

A cheese board, where maybe 10 people have bought a small block of something different, is much more what I hope you will consider. 6 different salads rather than a massive bowl of iceberg lettuce. Maybe 12 different packs of brown, white, seeded rolls. A couple of french sticks and some Roule?

Believe me I have my own meat man and I have a cash and carry card for breads etc but I really hadn't thought to bring the cost down on this.

2p.

it's at LLL's place so I'll go with that, feel a bit like a sheep today (but that's my welsh side)

I make good sundried tomato, basil & mozarella burgers. I can whip up a couple dozen of those as my contribution :)
