i have got a range of 'engine cleaning' products and I'm going to force feed each and every one down the inside, upside, underside and roundside of the damn thing. i will advise on the effectivness of each as I go.
If its carbon build up then I'm hoping i can win. I'll let you know.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Not got much time so I'll keep this short
DO NOT use anything other than Honda OEM rings on Honda OEM pistons - anything else is just rubbish quite frankly. Yes Honda OEM (Riken or Tokai) rings are expensive but they are the bext quality you will buy end of, full stop, nuff said !!!!!!!
There is alot more to simply re-ringing than meets the eye - if not done properly you may as well have just left it alone in the first place !!
I'll not go into detail but there is correct piston prep, cylinder wall prep, correct gapping, correct fitment etc etc etc.
This is why it's not a "cheap" job to do, because it is time consuming to do it properly.
