Specifically 5th gen non type s etc, just the standard 2.2 vtec

I believe the compression is down to the pistons, UK 10:1 JAP 10.6:1 and Type S/ATR/H22A8 11:1littlefeller wrote:i think so, they use different octane ratings over in japan, i think this is why imports have higher compression. no doubt someone will correct me if im wrong

actually the JDM spec engines and the uk or eudm spec engines dont feel the same at all.
i test drove uk cars for people here in bradford and they dont want to go in the same way the jdm engines do.
specifically a2 and a5 engine compared to the h22a
the a2 had the aircon pump removed aswell.
and im not just saying that because im selling 1 but the reason i go for jdm spec is because its just faster.
uk spec 10:1 compression
jdm spec 10.6:1 compression
red tops 11:1 compression uk or jdm
same with any import pretty much the jdm is always better
