I know that feeling too well. My black civic got the same on the rear quarter.

It must have been a leather ball punted from a distance,. I never got rid of the football imprint from the paintwork

yes the fire and ice trick does work

failing that you can buy a cheapo ebay dent remover, just uses glue to pull the dent

there are kids on my girlfriend's road who lean bikes up against cars in the street, including hers, the little shites. I have made a mental note to drive at 40 from now on

With some light panel hammering and a dolly it should be sortable.
