Welcome!

I'm in Colchester near the A&E hospital.

Would be good to meet up so can laugh at the faded paintwork
on my track bb1.

Will I get any discount as a forum member?

As for a meet id love to however I will only be able to join you in my Jetta as the Prelude is a good few months away yet + its my 30th on the 1st of Aug so im not sure if I will even be able to drive anywhere on the 4th

As for my work you can find out bits and pieces on my Facebook profile in my sig but it will be updated shortly to include a lot more work with photos from start to finish rather than just a jumble thats on it now. I will probably post up some photos tomorrow though.

Oh and as for discounts, of course you can all have a discount but I think you would struggle to find somebody that could match both my prices and quality but im happy to price up any work that you might be interested in having done.

With a lot of pearl and metallic paint we will always blend where we can to avoid the possibility of this problem occurring, however you can do many things to give yourself the best possible chance of getting an acceptable colour match when painting edge to edge like your bumper would be.

The painter themselves has some degree of control on the final colour achieved even after the paint is mixed and in the gun and he should have painted a sample spray out to check the colour before going near your bumper.

What did you pay to get the work done if you dont mind me asking?

CollyN is it white diamond pearl. I use PPG Nexa Aquabase and the colour match is impossible on 16 year old pearl paint.
Iv resprayed my front and rear bumpers and my bumpers are noticeably whiter despite using the darkest varient of white diamond and doing various thicknesses and layers or the pearl layer.
This colour is also impossible to blend mid panel so it is an edge to edge repair. Had the same experience with the Toyota IQ Winter Blizzard and thas the same.
Unfortunately you will either have to accept the colour mismatch or full respray. Im doing the full respray panel by panel. I will get some pictures up of the mismatch next week. Its not that bad though.
