Ive never had a pearl colour that cant be blended especially using a waterbase system, we even blend candys without to much of an issue

The 2 stage pearls are fine for me. But the 3 stage pearls just wont blend. You put the base coat on to hide the primer and start to blend out and it just wont blend. Even the pearl coat wont do much, but perhaps thats a combination of the amount of varients each colour has and the fact i dont change the colours myself slightly.

Heres what iv done. I resprayed the bootlid and rear bumper and you can see the mismatch to the rear quarter panels. Both rear quarter have been resprayed in the cars life (not great lacquer finish).
Of all the sprayout cars i made the darkest varient was the best match but still too white.

What paint do you use?

We use PPG/ICI Nexa solvent, Standox waterbase and DaBeer waterbase.

blending 3 stage pearls can still be blended buddy you just need to take the blend out further, thats not to say its not harder to do then normal blends but it still is very possible to do.

Also as for the colour chips, if none of them match then you need to find one that does on a different paint scheme or correct the colour yourself through tinting etc

Also how many pearl coats are you adding and does your colour chip,spray out and the final colour on the bumper match up the same?

Colours chips dont match but not all varients have colour chips. We have specials which are additional varients and i did a sprayout card of the X6 and X8 specials for white diamond pearl, the X8 looked like it matched.
That was 5 base coats and 3 pearl coats. The spray out card match the bumper once sprayed.
I did the front bumper last week but i edited the pearl coat abit. I put half the amount of clear adjuster into the pearl but same amount of pearls so it was twice as concentrated and did the same 3 coats.
Its a better match than to what you see above but still too white. Will have a better look once the car is back from the garage with its engine as i sprayed the bumper the day before it went and it still needs wet sanding.

Also i only have 1 years experience with Chipsaway.

ratty,
if i was doing your rear bumper i would groundcoat the bumper and just the edges of the quarters where the bumper meets, then coat up bumper and quarters with equal coats of pearl,start in reverse on the quarters ie do your furthest pearl coat 1st and work in the way until you cant see the groundcoat on the quarters,then lacquer the bumper and quarters (i would only put 1 coat of lacquer to the end of the quarters to minimise darkening)
iv only got 20 yrs experience

My business mentor told me to do that method.

But drokk it. The rear quaters are scratched etc anyway so im going all the way. Plus the O/S rear quarters has some sort of reaction that iv never seen before. Looks like an oval shape that is smooth in the middle and almost bubble rust round the edges, there are several of them.

those reactions you describe sound to me like chips etc have been sanded out to at least primer level and the fresh paint has started to react with the old topcoats edges,hence why the centre is smooth

3 stage pearls are a major pain in the ass and nore and more manufacturers are using them

They are a pain but that just the nature of the game and I guess the same was said when silvers first flooded the market although that was before my time as ive only been spraying since 1999.

Anyway as mentioned above it would probably be better for me to start another thread for bodyshop chat
