Jack stand placement
Jack stand placement
So I'll be putting on new front disks hopefully at the weekend. As I usually jack up the car on the front jack point (the one you use for the scissors jack), where else can I place a jack stand? I've tried jacking with a 2.5t trolley jack on the front jack point so that I can get the front wheels off the ground but I have only found 1 wheel comes of the ground when I do this in the garage!

you need use standard jack, and not scissor jack on front jacking point, we do that all the time in workshop and car is half meter in airBMCC wrote:I tried this once before and I got one tyre off the ground on full lift!jozefsan wrote:front jacking point on subframe, then secure axle stands on front side jacking points
