3 vht layers, horizontal, vertical & diagonal. Applied an hour or so after the acid etc primer and approx 5 mins between vht coats. Quite heavy, but not enough to run.

Went at it with the heat gun approx 10 mins after the last coat. Kept moving it about quite close until it suddenly starts to "happen" and tiny little worm trails appear.

Now leaving to harden for a couple days and will sand off the letters and bung it on the car so the heat will cure it if it needs any more. I can then do attempt no 2 on my current cam cover.

Im quite chuffed with my masking and scalpel skills, the circles came out quite well.

Now to swap them over and see if I can improve on my own cam cover. Then swap them back.

Good man Nitin.

I was going to Jackson Pollock the whole cam cover, but don't fancy stripping it again if I drokk up, so have settled on VHT red.

I'm going to have a go at a black/red Pollock style plug cover instead, hence the need for a spare.

Lol, if yours is better than mine, then I'll start playing with the paint on mine and use yours as the standard option!

Just got a phonecall off the missus, she said a package has arrived that was stuck together with goey white stuff that smells a bit like cornflour, but it's not cornflour.

So it looks like the plug cover has arrived safely Nittttin my lovely sex partner. 8-)
