Cheers for the kind offer Sam, but to be honest I reckon 90% of the paint on the cover on the car will come off with a pressure washer it is that flakey!
I bought the Bilt Hamber stuff direct from Bilt Hamber, must have used not even a quarter of a can. I bought two cans though as I have a metal patio table that needs spraying as well.
The VHT I got from eBay and used half a can.
The VHT comes in either black or red mate. I can't see why you can't over coat with blue if you build up thin coats though. It may work.
Quick question about the cam cover seal. I'm going to fit a new one soon, but not until I have finished the other cover. If I'm issuing the old seal I understand I should use some gasket seal in the corners. Is that applied to both the engine side and the cover side? Any pointers will be appreciated.

I'll have to give APD a ring and see what is in the set. Most of the seal sets i've seen don't include the plug seals.
There is a chap on the ATR forum selling genuine OEM Honda seal sets incl the spark plug gaskets for £40 instead of the normal dealer £90 and i was going to get that for when i do final fitting.

Don't use blueprint spark plug seals! Waste of time. There's a dealer on ebay who does them, Santa Monica Acura, I forget their username. They were only a couple of quid each and they were really helpful with international postage. Even added on a few part numbers for me, and marked down the cost for customs 'efficiency'.

Ebay says their shop no longer exists. Not sure they will have anything for the H22A7 anyway to be fair.
I think i'll get the OEM Honda one for £40.
Will i be OK to use this when i put the spare on, and then swap the spare back to the original cover a few days later?
I will i be better off just laying the car up for a couple of days with the cam cover off until i have finished?

These are exactly the same as the H22 seals, I fitted them to mine last weekend. £1.37 each
If you message them with a part number for the rocker cover gasket I'm sure they'll do it so long as the number is on their system since they're Acura, not Honda.
O and they should sort out something on the P&P as well, it won't be as much as ebay.
