Hi.
I am after a distributor for my 5th Gen.
It has a H22A5 engine - though I dont know if the dizzys are the same on all H22s? Preferably in or near Nottingham area so I could collect.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

No, not at all. I've had an intermittent problem for a few months now. Initially it always started, though sometimes would turn over for longer than normal, and then run very lumpy (as if running on 2 or 3 cylinders) for a few seconds. It seemed to be worse when restarting after a short run.newkid wrote:what starting problems are you having? is it the car cutting straight out when it starts?
This told me that the main relay was at fault. I have read that the main relay isnt such an issue on 5G, but took it out and resoldered the connections as instructed on various forums. All seemed well for a couple of months, but as it could go weeks without giving any problems anyway I was hopeful but not certain that I had fixed it.
The last 2-3 weeks the starting has become more erratic, to the point where I sometimes flatten the battery before it will go. It mostly fires, but not always. I have a spark and fuel, so can only assume it is an issue with the distributor causing it to fire at the wrong time?
Whenever it starts, be it at first turn of the key, after a change to dry plugs and a jump start from a friend or coming back the next day it always runs faultlessly (sometimes after 20 seconds of sounding lunpy), and always has.
