Dastek Unichip for a 4th Gen

Post by RattyMcClelland » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:17 pm

Bought this in the spur of the moment and not really suited for the Type S.
Its the Dastek Unichip A and is currently on a tune for a 4th Gen P13 ECU. It has the wiring harness and it looks like it needs splicing into the Prelude somewhere.

Tiny little bastad.

Yer anyone with a P13 4th Gen and wire this in and should see benefits. Maybe get it retunned to its specific engine and mods.

I ran an original unichip for years without any bother. Cracking chip if set up properly. Saw some good gains on my JDM P13. Only downside at the time was the lack of tuners in this country. Having said that I believe there's loads more these days. Has all the features you could ever want and as its a piggyback there is no need to open up your original ECU. At that price I would go for it if I had an ODB1 motor 8-)

They are fairly old now, but it'll do everything you need them to, with the right tuner to hand. Pretty sure Rich at PA is familiar with these.

I'd say that's an absolute steal for what you're getting! Still can't believe Ratty got it for that, I was keeping an eye on it on ebay just out of interest.

Someone should seriously buy this who wants to tune in their mods properly.
