Err no possible way that is a 1994 2nd ever made

As they were made in Japan from 1992 and all where right hand drive, might be the 2nd Left hand drive but never the 2nd one ever made
Doesn't it just mean its the 2nd car built at that factory that year?

Don't you mean 91?

Just checked the date stamps on my engine, manufactured on 1st October 1991, and the engine number is just short of the 5,000th made.

Think I might go check out mine tomorrow and find out what number she is, mine was built in '91 according to the import papers but I always thought that was a DVLA balls up as I always saw the 4th Gen listed as 92 onwards. Maybe my car was one of the first made

Yes, lets compare numbers, my chassis number is even lower, 3,34x.

The engine dates are just above the exhaust manifold.

000018, obviously not the 18th ever 5G, but since mine is a 99 registered January, I'm assuming it's the 18th A8. :?:

I didn't look  was too busy fixing the alarm my girlfriend 'didn't break'

Will have a look tomorrow! Will check my other H22A as well, see which is oldest. I think if they're consecutive numbered engines, everyone on the forum should give me a tenner

And Gorgon, that's just smarmy being in the first 20

Who's got number 1 then?? Own up
