thread updates

Just thought of something which would be cool, if you make the thread update without having to refresh the screen. I saw you put the post notification in for when someone posts while your typing but you could expand on it and get the thread to update while it's on the screen which would be very

Can show forum up how a forum should work!

Good call. It would be cool, but could add strain on the server if the forum was to get busier.
Our previous chat script used AJAX calls, but it was not very successful, so we switched to IRC chat instead.

Yeah that's a good point server traffic will pick up a bit. I currently use the script for a username checker and a password strength checker on the login menu but if your clever with the sql queries it doesn't have to cause much of a bandwidth increase.
