I've seen it as well, doesn't the bad guy make the good guy shag his sister?

no. the good guy makes the bad guy suffer and then cut his own tongue out. only your supposed to think its the other way round.

the main character caused the death of the other guys sister when he opened his gob.

There was a story in the local paper today, 4 teenagers stole a BMW and a Porsche from somebody's house. Got chased by police and crashed them in our town centre. They're liable to get suspended sentences at most, but how would this help the person who has lost 2 cars, that they probably have strong sentiment for? I said to my girlfriend, if somebody stole the Prelude and got caught I'd rather they did no time but their punishment would be that I got to take my feelings out on them with a piece of 2x4 for 20 minutes  I think victims would find a lot more comfort in the justice system if they could inflict their anguish on the person who wronged them, even though it is an incredibly inhumane idea

Or maybe I'm just a sociopath  :?

I think a lot of people believe this, but imagine if the justice system was actually like that. I'm all for an eye for an eye, but I think ultimately if people knew that they could get their own back it wouldn't be long before the law was forgotten and people skipped over the court/sentencing process and just started dealing out their own punishments. Imagine what could follow on from that.

Yeah I know it's a crap idea  an important part of society is not allowing people to assert themselves over others using violence, it's what separates us from the animals and all that :)
