i didnt mean it like that just theres a difference between strict and fair. ive seen him fail a car because of a magic tree hanging from the mirror as obstructing the view rather than just take it off

its nothing to do with friendly mot or anything like that - BB4 = no cat test - ive had 14 mots to prove it - with cat and with decat mines a late 94 - all the same. the only question is about the 1995 date - the wiki seems to suggest this wont be a problem so id go for it. i wouldnt even mention u want a non cat test.
1996-2000 1993 EG9 Blue Civic 1.6 Vti - Traded in against the BB4
2000-2019 1994 2WS BB4 Milano Red JDM Prelude Si VTEC LSD

2015 on > 1991 4WS BB1 Phantom Pearl Grey JDM Prelude Si VTEC LSD
2021 ON > 1998 2WS BB6 White Pearl JDM Prelude Si VTEC

I think you will find when your car was manufactured by looking at the seat belt. It should have a label on it by the bottom anchorage giving the date.(unless Honda do things differently)
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

^^This!!!! I went armed with the MOT testers flow chart. Never had a problem with my 1993 JDM BB4 and its decat.

we have been over this a million times  if its a bb4 jdm then it doesnt need the cat, it can only be tested at the higher rate simply because as a bb4 it was never added to the data base as its a jap domestic market and not european. it was never meant to be here in the first place so alls good i hope 8-) :D
