Just checked my old UK BB1 chassis plate and it does say Type (FRANCE) BB1 VERSION

so its a ukdm 2.2 vtec non lsd 185 bhp with a few goodies then.

must be that the ukdm's came through france then to uk.
like you said Sam belgium must have been a stop over point

just the rhd french thing that confused me. looked all over the car for jap import signs and couldnt find any. no half mast, fogs etc, even looked inside the boot for crash damage as bb1 i thought was only jap and they fitted it out with ukdm stuff.

i was the same always thought bb1 was jdm only

till i was told

the glass is the give away

BB4's were JDM only. BB1's are the UK and JDM
its easy to spot its a UKDM from the manual sliders on the heater and not the digital climate control
and M2F5 is the UKDM 4th gen manual gearbox

BB1 = 4ws 2.2vtec
BB4 = 2ws 2.2vtec

EVERY 2.2vtec sold in the UK had 4ws, therefore every UKDM 2.2vtec lude is a BB1
